Slopes

The stabilization of slopes represents a special challenge in engineering. As with all structures in geotechnical engineering, the design of slopes and embankments is particularly dependent on the ground and groundwater conditions. We have many years of experience with a wide range of projects across a broad spectrum of boundary conditions. Examples are the design and construction of:

  • Flattening of slope, possibly friction foot,
eliminating the need for additional measures
  • Drainages
  • Nailing
  • Anchoring of rock wedges
  • Nets
  • Surface protection (shotcrete, planting, geogrids)
  • Long-term monitoring
  • Retaining walls, possibly anchored
  • Presstressed anchors
  • Reinforced earth
  • Rock collection ditches
  • Rehabilitation of 300.000 m³ sliding slope
  • Support of 55 m deep cut
  • Anchoring of mountain station of cable car to historic site “Massada”
